During the twelve years attending Sues classes, my core strength, flexibility and awareness has greatly improved. I really enjoy the variety that Sue brings to the class every week. With her enthusiasm and incredible knowledge, she is very committed to keeping us fit and healthy. We are challenged but have fun!Sue is always aware of the needs and issues of individuals in the class and taylors the activities accordingly. She gives us the confidence to achieve to the best of our abilities. Her classes are unique, and very special.Thursday mornings wouldn’t be the same without them.

Suzanne Lott is an exceptional fitness adviser who has been very helpful to our LTA Junior Tennis Performance Squad Players in improving their agility, balance and co-ordinationSuzanne is a perfectionist, and she takes great care in helping the people she teaches achieve a greater level of flexibility and dexterity.
Suzanne’s knowledge of physiology is first rate and every athlete I have sent her has improved their overall performance on the tennis court and the athletic track including an athlete who has won an official junior LTA National Championship Finals, and one that finished 3rd in an UK Athletics Pentathlon National ChampionshipI would thoroughly recommend her.

One of the biggest challenges running coaches face is discovering the balance between maximising running workouts whilst not injuring the athlete.Members of the endurance group at Camberley and district athletics club were fortunate enough to attend some tailored workshops run by Sue Lott.
The fun, engaging workshops provided the athletes with useful practical information and hands on techniques they have been able to use at home and training to remain injury free. Sue took the time to help each athlete individually with ideas to address current concerns and highlight potential future issues.A number of the athletes have since been selected at international level thanks to the consistent training they have been able to complete.

Sue’s Pilates classes stand out above all others and are so important to me, both physically and mentally, so much so that I am more than happy to set my alarm for 5.55 am to ensure I get a place in her classes.
Sue is like no other instructor I have encountered throughout my lifetime. She not only teaches one Pilates, she motivates, she encourages, she is so passionate and her enthusiasm rubs off on everyone.
We all love her and attending her classes is a privilege.

Pilates classes with a difference. Suzanne devises an ever-changing range of exercises: posture, flexibility, and core stability with muscle toning all combined.
They are enjoyable and above all effective.
You won’t regret signing up.

I have been attending Sue’s classes on Fridays for some years and being in my late 70’s I can’t emphasise how important the classes have been for my health.
It is so easy to feel that as one ages we should expect and accept that our bodies deteriorate. There are changes of course but Sue has proven that we can remain flexible in body and mind by regular attendance of her inspiring classes. We all feel she is keeping us alive, in good health and with a positive attitude to what our bodies can and do achieve.

Dear Sue, where would we be without you?
As one of the group in Hartley Wintney who tries to come twice a week, I first started with you in 2000 with painful knees and the need to be stretched in more ways than one.Your classes became addictive!
No more painful knees and the trapped nerve in my foot (Morton’s Neuroma) is in check without surgery.
The classes are always fun (no 2 classes are the same) and if we have issues or weaknesses, we can be sure our problems are ironed out,Thank you for your patience and such attention to detail.

Sue's classes are always unique because she is very inventive in finding new ways to help you become suppler and ensure you use the correct muscles to strengthen, tone and improve your movement in an efficient way.
It is a whole body and mind experience as everything is connected and her aim is to improve well-being by combatting the pressures of modern living and the 'bad habits' that can develop!
You will recognise Pilates principles and moves but learn so much more and find the ease of movement to complete the moves. Fascia is the key and you can apply her tips to your everyday life as well as other classes.
Sarah G - a massage therapist
I attended one of Sue's classes with my mum who goes regularly and really enjoys them. She had told me so much about Sue's class, how varied and effective her teaching was, and as my mum was clearly benefting both physically and mentally from the regular work-outs I wanted to go along to try out a class for myself.I wasn't disappointed!I left the hour's class feeling energised, challenged and wishing that I lived a little closer so that I could go to Sue's classes every week!
With seemingly endless positive energy, Sue employs a range of exercises, a whole host of props and varies the routines every week, keeping class members interested and motivated.
She draws inspiration from a number of exercise disciplines and her attention to detail, alongside her ability to keep a close eye on each member of the group, really allows everyone in the group to get the most out of her classes.
As a massage therapist, I also really appreciated her understanding of the importance of muscle stimulation and stretching, so vital in helping maintain optimum circulation in the body and physical mobility.
As a result, I would definitely recommend Sue's classes to any of my clients (of any age) who would benefit from Sue's classes.
I will now be going to see my mum as regularly as I can...obviously because I love spending time with her and my dad but now it will be with the added bonus of gaining all the benefits of Sue's classes.
Next person to be converted, my dad!!

In the time I have been coming to Sue's classes I can honestly say I am suppler, my balance has improved, my fingers are straighter and my visits to the physiotherapist are rare. I have learnt so much and as a septuagenarian this has improved my lifestyle.
I sincerely wish I had this knowledge when I was in my 30's. I am delighted Sue is providing a website as there is so much to learn from her and it will be great to have her knowledge available on line.
Thank you Sue.
Dominic B - Sue's brother
I have known Sue my whole life and while I 'declare an interest' as her brother and sometime beneficiary of her techniques, as a former health and fitness newspaper writer and Sports Science degree holder I bow to Sue's far superior knowledge of her subject.
Her humility and compassion as a person, devotion to her craft, class members and clients is inspirational, as so eloquently expressed elsewhere throughout these testimonials.
Callum - a client
I went to see Sue as a teenager several years ago, I had ligament issues and a cyst in my ankle that was causing pain and I was unable to play sport, it was making me really low.
My Orthopaedic Consultant has said there was no more he could do for me and to forget about my sporting career (I wanted to play Rugby).
Sue worked with me over several months using gentle massage techniques and she showed me what exercises I needed to do on my own, she pointed out my weaknesses and gave me the knowledge to help myself.
I gradually built up strength in my ankle and returned to training and went on to play rugby semi-professionally in UK and in Australia.
When I returned to see the Consultant after seeing Sue, he was astonished at the improvement and told me 'whatever you have been doing, carry on doing it !'I’ll always be grateful to Sue for helping me to turn my life around and enabling me to follow my dream.

I have chronic back pain and rheumatoid arthritis so I started Pilates two years ago to see if it could provide any relief.
I have been really pleased with the results. Suzanne's classes are good fun and informative. You always feel better for going.

Sue’s classes have improved my strength and balance considerably.
Coming as a complete beginner to Pilates, in 9 months I have seen positive benefits in posture, flexibility and pain relief.
Sue will speak to you individually about specific problems – for me it is a sore hip and suggest exercises to ease pain and strengthen the area therefore reducing future symptoms.
All her movements are safe and checked by herself. An added bonus is the use of objects in the warm up to relax and stimulate – this is different to any other Pilates class.
The classes are great fun and attended by a lovely set of people who are friendly and supportive.
Linda B - a class member
I have been going to Sue’s Pilates classes for over 10 years. Her classes are unlike any others I have been to - who else uses sticks, balls and bean bags as part of the exercises? The focus changes each class to different parts of the body and all the activities are informed by Sue’s encyclopaedic physiological knowledge. At the same time they are light-hearted and enjoyable and after each class I walk out feeling a bit taller and bit more flexible. Thanks Sue!
Sue Greenhalgh (age 60) - a class member
I have been going to Sue’s classes for over five years, and I always come away feeling energised, stronger and in love with the world!
Having taught all my adult life with pretty inspirational people, I know what makes a great teacher and Sue is up there with the best. She plans carefully, having listened and monitored the needs of her classes, but is flexible enough (no pun intended!) to adjust on the day if anyone has aches or stiffness. The classes are completely fresh and I have never experienced the same class twice (which is amazing). Clearly passionate about what she does, Sue is an inspiration and we have a lot of fun in class while also working hard.
Sue works with music and equipment (from tiny elastic bands to broom handles) and the exercises are explained which all makes complete sense. (Her analogies and metaphors to explain how we should be positioning our bodies are visual and a distinctive and lively part of the classes).
What I admire most about Sue’s method is her encouragement and gentle instruction on an individual basis. She knows everyone by name and you always feel great after spending an hour or so with her.
Do go to one of Sue’s new classes….it will be the best thing you ever do for your body, your mind and your general well-being.
Caroline L - has many prior years of Pilates experience and does serious weight training.
I find Sue’s classes totalling inspirational. They start with a fun and mind challenging warm up followed by a hugely informative class, giving a verity of levels and alternative moves depending on each persons own individual needs using different equipment each week. Sue’s knowledge about the human body is endless and I have learnt so much from her over the past couple of years.

If you manage to get a place in Sue’s Pilates class you will be very lucky as she is the most knowledgeable Pilates teacher, she explains all the moves very well and also demonstrates them. She will explain why you are doing them and what you will achieve.
I have really enjoyed every class and every class is different, she uses balls, large and small, bands, wooden poles and of course your own body weight.
I would recommend her class to everyone.

PILATES WITH A DIFFERENCE
I am so pleased that I discovered Sue's Pilates classes at Everyone Active in Fleet, and when possible I attend two a week, and have done for a few years.
Sue is a dedicated and experienced teacher who is very enthusiastic about the exercises and techniques. She is particularly good at varying and enhancing the sessions with different equipment to keep them interesting and comprehensive.
They have certainly helped me develop and improve my strength, awareness, fitness and balance to a remarkable extent. Sue is excellent at giving clear instructions and demonstrating the exercises, whilst explaining the aim and benefits of them.
No two classes are the same and are always very enjoyable - and challenging - I always feel so much better after them.
Sue also holds workshops from time to time on specific areas and techniques and I have also found them engaging, informative and fun.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Sue's sessions to anyone of any age.

As you know I have been recommending your classes to everyone who wants to listen and often to those who do not want to know.
I have learnt from you how to listen to my body and deal with its various complaints, strains and aches before they develop into major health problems.
Each one of us is responsible for one’s own wellbeing and you provide practical advice of how to do it.
Fiona -a class member (for 18 years)
Sue’s classes are fun and brilliant!
Advancing years are no fun, however, Sue makes you move muscles inside which you had no idea you possessed. Core strength and mobility are key to a healthy lifestyle for everyone. Sue hits the spot for us all.Mandy - a class memberI want to thank you for your foot class last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it and slept deeply as you said would happen.
My feet feel wonderfully open and relaxed this morning and my ankles are slimmer then they have been for years. More surprisingly my back and neck also feel loose and comfortable and tension free.I usually have a stiff lower back until I get moving about, but not this morning! I shall definitely be using the ‘block’ regularly as it obviously a valuable piece of equipment.
There are so many improvements to my body from attending your classes; my migraines obviously, which are few and far between these days my neck, back and knees and my posture is always improving. I put all your valuable information in to my daily life and movement and can not thank you enough. You are a complete marvel and should be available on the NHS.
Kari - a class member (for 13 years)
I have been attending Sue’s classes for 13 years and think she is a Hartley Wintney treasure. The opportunity to attend her classes should be part of estate agents home-selling details; a real draw to everyone in the village.
In the past I have suffered badly from back problems including being wheel chair bound for a while but Sue’s classes have generated trust in my back and I lift and move furniture in a far more considered and informed way with no problems.
Sue’s classes are fun, never boring; we enjoy an endless development of new exercises.
The atmosphere in the class is wholly supportive – Sue is generous with her praise, remembering everyone’s names correctly. Sue engenders total trust in her attendees and she prepares us so well for each move that I feel entirely confident in trying to follow her every instruction.
Ann C - a class member (long standing)
I have been attending Sue’s classes for many years and love every minute of them. I am so amazed, after all this time, how each week is still different from the last.
My back and various racket injuries have gone and my core strength and muscle suppleness are now excellent. Sue includes specific exercises if someone has a particular problem at the beginning of the class.Sue puts everyone at ease and classes are very friendly. She uses amazing props like balls, bands and sticks.
Claire G - specific to sport participation
Attending Sue’s pilates classes has enabled me to continue skiing at a high level, for my age, 57. Sue listens to our needs and incorporates appropriate exercises into the class. Sue’s classes are varied and fun, and friendships form amongst the regulars.

I have attended Sue’s classes for many years, and always enjoy them. The variety of equipment keeps the classes interesting, innovative but above all, fun.My flexibility, core strength and body awareness have all improved since I have been doing Sue’s classes. We have all improved the way we think about our bodies and are able to work in our own range as we take part in the class.
Sue is aware of all our aches and pains and limitations and is happy to adapt exercises to suit individuals – she always has an exercise suggestion to improve a problem.I have attended other classes over the years but Sue’s class is the one I find the most beneficial and the one I hate to miss! I hope she keeps up the good work for years to come.

I have been attending fitness classes taken by Sue Lott for more than 29 years and can honestly say I have enjoyed and benefited from every single class.Sue is a caring person who genuinely wants all her pupils to be fit and well and often asks if anyone needs attention on a particular area.
She watches us all closely and uses all her experience, training and common sense to create unique exercises for core strength and flexibility.I can recommend her classes to anyone wanting to retain core strength and flexibility whatever their age.
Gill W - a class member
Every class is so different which makes it enjoyable and every move is explained as to what impact it has on my body.
I am nearly seventy five but feel years younger having attended Sue’s classes for many years. Thank you for everything.
Sue M - a class member
Have been attending Sue’s classes for several years. I find them well-structured and stretching (often without realising it) with no 2 classes being the same.
Her comprehensive explanations, and the use of different items of equipment, help me to understand more easily what we are trying to achieve and where I might be doing it wrong.
Sue brings a passion and energy to her classes which raises them above the norm and makes them light – hearted and enjoyable.
This provides the motivation to try harder and improve.

I have been going to Sue’s classes for nearly 10 years but every week is different and I really enjoy them. She is a very good teacher who gives plenty of praise and encouragement.
Katherine G. From an anti exerciser at the start - she is one of my most improved.
Suzanne’s Pilates classes are designed to welcome new and experienced participants; they are very positive and Suzanne always has a smile on her face.
She is unfailingly encouraging and always explains why the exercise helps.I am aware of the increased strength and flexibility in my body and I love the weekly challenge.

I have known Sue for almost 10 years now.
I can still remember my first class with Sue at the Hart Leisure Centre as I literally said to myself: this was the healthiest and most beneficial class I had ever attended.. I started becoming aware of my posture and all my body parts I held tension in, and started noticing all the imbalances that were present in my body at that time.
I was born with Perthes disease, and my right hip that was affected by the disease was underdeveloped and weaker than my left side. Sue’s program helped me immensely in re-balancing and strengthening my body. It also gave me hope that my condition can be improved, which seemed to be impossible to me before then!
As a Registered Nurse, I have tried many types of physical exercise for my hip condition before but haven’t found anything similar to Sue’s program, where body balance and core strength gets incorporated in every step!
Erika G - a class member and Registered Nurse.
I have been going to Sue’s classes for almost 10 years and thoroughly enjoy them. I have lower back pain which is enormously relieved since attending the classes. We never get bored as Sue thinks of different variations of the exercises every time. Sue keeps an eye on everyone and suggests alternatives, if necessary. What is just as important is that we all have fun!!! And boy, do we have fun!!!!Anne H - a class memberI have been fortunate enough to benefit from Suzanne’s knowledge and expertise for almost 15 years. The diversity of her exercises for all parts of the body, each week, is amazing.I would highly recommend her classes to you.
Chris - a private patient
I have known Sue for many years, she is one of the wisest, cleverest and most observant people I know. Her knowledge and understanding of the human body is phenomenal, she can just look at the way a person stands or moves and she is able to identify areas in the body that have weakness or need healing.I have introduced a number of loved ones to Sue who have been ill (including a friend with breast cancer) and she has been able to show them some very simple techniques to help them improve their health.
Sue is a quiet, kind and unassuming person and someone people can connect with and trust, she is also passionate and dedicated to what she does. We have a lot in common, we enjoy discussing the mind body holistic approach to healing and how trauma is stored in our bodies and we have both been influenced by people such as Gabor Mate and Peter Levine.
I especially love the way Sue uses her creative ideas to develop her practice in a thoughtful and gentle way with powerful effects. Sue works in various ways to help people, her focus is to empower people to take responsibility for their own health and make really positive changes in their lives.
I also love Sue's classes where people of all ages attend, they are always popular and no matter what your age and mobility they will always be gently challenging you to increase movement and flexibility.
If you are lucky enough to work with Sue you will learn a lot and be able to make real changes to improve your health.
Linda S - a class member
I first attended one of Sue’s classes about 16 years ago, it was obvious she had terrific enthusiasm then, over the years her classes have evolved into something different and special, she has kept me reasonably flexible, encouraged my self-belief and motivated me through problems with frozen shoulders and arthritic knees!I have felt challenged but she has made things achievable, she is an ambassador to movement using her perception and technique.
My husband attends one of Sue’s ‘mixed’ classes for flexibility and likes the variety of stretching using many types of equipment, most of which you can get cheaply and use at home, he does not like to miss a class, she is resourceful, never boring and totally committed to keeping people moving to the best of their ability. If anyone finds something too daunting her passion and philosophy will find a way round, she has a different approach to keeping people moving and I would recommend her class or individual tuition to anyone not matter how stiff or out of condition they feel.
Paul D - a class member
I've found Sue Lott's Pilates classes to be not only therapeutic (to the extent that my once recurring back ache has become no more than an occasional twinge) but also educational in the sense of having gained a better understanding of my muscle chain function and everyday posture.
I now feel straighter, taller, stronger and more flexible.
Mum's Testimonial
At the age of 75 I was housebound and not able to walk more than 100 yards.
Now, 10 years later, I manage to walk for an hour and go to a Pilates class every day.
All this has been realised by embracing Sue's theories. Her classes all have an energy and joy of movement which leaves you with an uplifting feeling.
