A crying baby needs attention – whether for hunger, illness, tiredness etc. Ignoring the cries only intensifies them, but by trying various ways to soothe the cries (food, milk, cuddle, nappy change, sleep etc) it becomes apparent what the problem was.Responding to cries of body pain by experimenting with possible solutions is a logical response:
***Recognise the cries for help
***Find ways to pacify the pain
***Initiate self-help care as a way of life.
The NHS is increasingly stretched, so it's time to shift focus from getting better to staying well. The healthier we are, the less prone we are to structural problems and illness and should they occur, our improved vitality and strength will facilitate a quicker recovery.
AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION IS WORTH A POUND OF CURE.
