My classes are a constant evolution that acknowledges, respects and seeks to restore more effective movement patterns. Most Eastern systems advise simple, cheap, and easy-to-apply practices to promote better health. They work by improving and unifying the flow of energy on its journey around the body, so my classes are scattered with suggestions from these ancient fonts of wisdom.
I am a qualified Jin Shin Jitsu (JSJ) practitioner. JSJ is a beautifully simple art from Japan, devised by Juro Murai and brought to the west by Mary Burmeister.
I am a qualified Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) practitioner. JSJ is a beautifully simple art from Japan, devised by Juro Murai and brought to the West by Mary Burmeister. This internationally recognised art, works to regulate energy flow by utilising specific contact points on the body, which have a deeper influence. The energetic vitality of our hands has been well proven by *KIRLIAN photography.

There is a lot of fascinating research on fascia! Fascia is a generic term for a wide variety of tissues that connect the body into an integrated unit. If we had no fascia, we would have no structure or form. Hence the term, connective tissue. When we move extensively and diversely, the fascia remains well-hydrated and pliable. Reduced activity has the opposite effect…. the entire structure – like a sea sponge deprived of its watery environment, starts to dry out and contract.
Fascia responds to the smallest stimuli as it communicates information like a telegraph wire. Hence, gently shaking an arm/leg helps loosen fascia! The fascial network is also implicated in healing, so tapping is a great way to stimulate a healing response. My classes incorporate methods to loosen fascia.
FASCIA IS A GLOBAL NETWORK - HELPING ANY AREA, HELPS ALL AREAS.
Small REGULAR practices are the most productive way to improve and maintain fascial health.
Equipment is used in self-help and classes for many reasons.
